Parks and Recreation
The Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to serving all residents
and visitors of Forsyth County through park development and recreational activities.
Our nine parks are designed to offer opportunities to enjoy nature and the out-of-doors.
We offer programs which help recharge physical and mental energies in a recreational
atmosphere.

Nothing is more relaxing than a day of fishing at Kernersville Lake Park.

The County's only disc golf course can be found at Horizons Park.

Tanglewood Park is now home to a new RV Campground!

Let your dog off the leash at the Horizons Park Happy Hound Dog Park.

Cool off at the Peter S. Brunstetter Aquatic Center located at Tanglewood Park.

Old U.S. 421 River Park is one of several access points for canoeing and fishing
along the Yadkin River Trail.

Triad Park offers Woodland Hall, a beautiful banquet facility and reception site.

Tanglewood RV Campground Now Open!

Join the Forsyth Parks and Recreation Dept. and The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Planning Dept. on the development of Horizons Park’s Master Plan by completing and submitting a survey and attending one of the public input meetings.
