Each year NC 4-H Congress participants do a “Hands to Larger Service” project. Due to COVID-19, they were unable to meet and participate in the 2020 Congress. However, this community service highlight will showcase some of their community service projects .

A free COVID-19 testing event is being held Wednesday, August 12 , from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 916 E 12th St.
The Forsyth County Department of Public Health held a food and mask giveaway on Saturday, August 1, at the Enterprise Center.
Ponds and Lakes are heating up, creating favorable conditions for Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) blooms which can be lethal to dogs and livestock. Suspected blooms can be reported to the N.C. Division of Water Resources by contacting your nearest Regional Office.
