Free Programs for Youths at Walkertown in April

Walkertown Branch Library is excited to offer a variety of programs for Kids and Teens in April. Kids (and accompanying parents) can come to Storytime, dance with us at Music and Movement, or have free coloring sheets! Teens can learn the basics of 3D printing and computer programming, become volunteers or come play games. Choose what interests you!

Baby Sign Language Group

Baby Sign Language Group

The Baby Sign Language Group meets every Monday from 3:15-4:00 PM at the Lewisville Branch Library. You and your baby will be able to practice your sign language and learn new signs in a supportive group environment. Baby sign language is used to help young children communicate through gestures before speech fully develops. Recommended for children 0-2 years and their caregivers. Free and open to the public.

Lego Book Club

Lego Book Club

Children (grades Kindergarten - 5th) share a favorite book that they have read with their teammates and then the teams work together to build Lego creations based off of their books. Meets the 2nd Saturday of each month (except August, December, and May) from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Lewisville Branch Library.

Sensory Storytimes

Every 4th Saturday of the month at 10:15 am, join us in Central Children's Library for Sensory Storytimes! Children of all ages are welcome for interactive story-based activities. All children are welcome to come and enjoy a relaxed approach to storytime that has been deliberately designed for anyone with sensory integration challenges.

Zine Fest

Zine Fest

Join us on April 28 at 11 am to explore and celebrate zines and zine creators! This is in partnership with the Salem College Writing Center. Salem College students will be showcasing their own Zines, as well as helping anyone interested in how to create zines. Teen Central will also showcase a selection of its Zines collection for the public to view. The event is open to children, teens, and adults of all ages.

The Lewisville Branch Library has a Puzzle Table and Games available to play at the library. Join us for Family Game Night on the 3rd Monday of each month from 3:00-5:00 PM for family-friendly Wii Gaming. You may now also check out Puzzles & Games from the Lewisville Branch Library.
