Broad strokes and fine details featured in Central Library's May-June Art Exhibit
Visit Forsyth County Central Library gallery through July 6 to see two exhibits that display two different artistic styles.
Jessica Singerman was born in Bangor, Maine, in 1980. After living in both France and the United States during her early life, Jessica graduated magna cum laude with highest honors in 2002 from the College of William & Mary and earned her MFA in 2004 from the University of Delaware. An avid runner, cyclist, and climber, Jessica says she feels most herself when engaging with her environment. Whether she’s doing outdoor activities or creating art, Jessica says, "I ultimately hope that through my artwork I can inspire people to return to the outdoors and build meaningful connections with others there."
The Colorful Dozen is a group of colored-pencil artists, many of whom met in a Forsyth Technical Community College art class more than 20 years ago. Their art shows how detailed and lifelike colored-pencil drawings can be. The pieces in the exhibit include a variety of subjects and techniques that must be seen up close.
If you are interested in exhibiting at Forsyth Central Library, please email examples of your work to Tory.
