Deputy David Pilcher is the Staff Member of the Month for his outstanding dedication, initiative, and commitment to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the Village of Clemmons. Deputy Pilcher recently demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication by working closely with Village of Clemmons officials to secure a $127,669.00 grant through the Governor’s Highway Safety Program. This grant will provide the funding necessary to add an additional deputy to the Village of Clemmons Traffic Unit. The grant will provide funding for the salary, benefits, retirement, equipment, and a new patrol vehicle for the additional deputy. Through Deputy Pilcher’s efforts and collaboration with Village officials, the Village of Clemmons will be able to add this valuable resource to its traffic enforcement efforts while being responsible for only approximately $23,000.00 in associated costs. This accomplishment is a tremendous example of what can be achieved through effective partnerships between the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the communities we serve. Deputy Pilcher recognized an opportunity to improve traffic safety and increase the resources available to the Village, and he took the initiative to see that opportunity through to completion. Deputy Pilcher’s dedication to the Village of Clemmons is above reproach. He consistently looks out for the best interests of both the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the Village of Clemmons, while working to strengthen the relationship between the two organizations. His efforts go well beyond the normal expectations of his position and demonstrate the level of commitment, professionalism, and community service that we expect from our deputies. The success of this grant is a direct reflection of Deputy Pilcher’s hard work, persistence, and willingness to work collaboratively with our municipal partners. His efforts will have a lasting positive impact on traffic safety and law enforcement services in the Village of Clemmons.
