Black Maternal and Infant Health Conference in Winston-Salem, October 7

The annual Black Maternal and Infant Health Conference is set for Wednesday, October 7 at the Albert H. Anderson Jr. Conference Center at Winston-Salem State University. Forsyth County Department of Public Health is partnering with the Black Pearls Society to host the event.

This year’s conference, themed “Sacred Bodies, Broken Systems: Reimagining Black Maternal and Infant Health,” will bring together health professionals, community leaders, advocates and families for meaningful conversations focused on improving maternal and infant health outcomes.

It will feature keynote speaker Michelle Browder, along with a panel of local and regional voices sharing expertise and perspectives on Black maternal and infant health.

Forsyth Department of Public Health and BPS invite community members to connect, learn and be part of a collective movement toward more equitable, inclusive care and healthier communities.
